Where did we come from...

Guerrillas of Soul are an up and coming Winnipeg based R&B group playing R&B, Soul and Reggae. Formed over the summer of 2010 by lead singer Noma Sibanda, originally from Zimbabwe, together with keyboardist Kevin McLean and sax/guitar man Darryl Reilly from Winnipeg reggae group SubCity. They soon added drummer Alain Guilmette (also from SubCity) and Scott Price, master of funk and evil, to round out the ensemble.

Fresh of their debut recording session, their single 'Lipstick & War' is now available to stream and download. Lyrically based in Sibanda's struggles as a political refugee now living as a Canadian citizen, 'Lipstick & War' challenges the listener to think outside of their first world comfort zone. To attempt to use art as the hammer to mold our society to more equitable and free world for all peoples.
